Interested in trying a new technique inspired by Adobe Create digital magazine I headed to a local beach.
Looking to create a glassy surface with stone jutting through the surface. Long shutter speeds used
in conjunction with a low ISO and a Tiffen variable ND filter helped generate this effect.
An old control tower located outside Ellicottville, NY tracks are still active to this day.
I hope to enter at some point and document the conditions inside.
As road work continued, a distant train horn broke through the hammering. Throwing my car into park and sprinting down the tracks hoping to grab a shot before leaving for Buffalo I was left with seconds to capture one photo.
